Run for the Parks!
Get out those running shoes and head to our beautiful green spaces to show appreciation for Fayetteville's parks & trails!
When: TBA, 2019
Where: All races will utilize the backbone of our trail system (Razorback Greenway) and finish in Walker Park.
Who: Runners and walkers of all ages and abilities
What: Run for the Parks is a chance for runners and walkers to show their support for the City of Fayetteville parks and trails! With several distance options and a festive finish area - we hope this race can find the runner hiding in everyone. Shuttles will be available at Walker Park (prior to the run) to take runners to each starting park.

Basic Route Maps for each course can be found here - there will be a water/aid station along the 15k and 10k course.
15k Course Map --- Lake Fayetteville Park located at 1153 E Lake Fayetteville Rd
10k Course Map --- Carol VanScyoc Trailhead is located at 6302 Wilkerson St
5k Course Map --- Wilson Park is located at 205 W Prospect St
Finish Area Map can be found here: Walker Park (pre-race shuttles, check-in, finish, and pancakes!) Walker Park is located at 10 W 15th St
There are shuttles available to take runners to the start of each race. Shuttles will load on 13th Street in Walker Park and depart for each starting park at the following times:
8:15am - Depart to Lake Fayetteville (15k race)
9:00am - Depart to Johnson Trailhead (10k race)
9:30am - Depart to Wilson Park (5k race)
Prizes will be awarded to the Overall Male and Overall Female Finisher of each distance AND to the Top Male and Female Finisher of each age group for each distance. Age Groups: <10, 10-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60+
If you are looking to get involved, we have plenty of opportunities for you! Volunteers will receive a t-shirt and duties will vary from event set up, participant check in, water stations, course monitors, and more. Contact email@example.com if interested.
