Examples of criminal mischief include graffiti, damage to a mailbox, throwing a rock through the window of a building, etc.

Examples of criminal mischief to a vehicle include damaged paint (keying), broken windows, graffiti, slashed/flattened tires, etc.

*It should be noted that “door dings” from other vehicles and cracked/chipped windshields due to debris on the road and/or other vehicles do not qualify as an act of criminal mischief or under any other criminal category and should not be reported to the Fayetteville Police Department.
